Yoga Tools for Teachers Workshop

The Yoga Tools for Teachers workshop offers graduate credit to teach you skills to create a classroom of creative, inspired, positive, disciplined and HAPPY students (and get support for yourself, as well!).
Teachers with no experience in yoga learn 40 yoga skills that can be used in just 5 to 10 minute segments during the school day to respond to feelings and attention that make learning difficult. They are designed to be able to do while children are in their seats or next to their desks. Skills support children to energize and prepare for the day, support them to get back on track when attention is low or when they return from recess and focusing skills to help with testing and test anxiety.

Testimonials for Yoga Tools for Teachers
Yoga Tools for Teachers provides a number of great movement experiences to build balance, strength, coordination and calming in my students. Jonathan is very knowledgeable, passionate and a great teacher! He makes the subject matter fun and accessible.Dane County Elementary Teacher
We need to prioritize our time so we take care of ourselves; we need something other than the quick fixes. In our society, we value accomplishing learning at the expense of our health and well-being. When we take care of ourselves, we actually can do better. If I live rushed I get rushed and less than desired results. If I slow down, I do things better.

After taking Jonathan’s yoga training classes, I was able to implement his strategies and techniques in my summer camp and see that they really do work. The kids loved yoga. I was able to use the breathing and yoga positions to help the children calm themselves and transition to the other activities. Jonathan demonstrated kid-friendly lingo to work with the children and help me learn yoga and understand the way in which it helps their mind, body and spirit. The training sessions were incredibly helpful. - Hannah, Summer Camp and After School Counselor
